Your car records everything.
Now you can read it.

Under the EU Data Act, Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, SEAT/Cupra and Bentley must hand you the data your car collects. The portal gives you a raw JSON with hundreds of thousands of records. This tool turns it into a readable dashboard — including a plain-language battery health verdict with a measured usable capacity, trip and charging ledgers, and an audit of what the package is missing.

Request your data

On the Volkswagen Group's EU Data Act portal, pick your brand, sign in and request the historical data package. It arrives as a download link within days — the link expires after ~7 days. Full walkthrough →

2

Drop the file above

Upload the ZIP as delivered, or the VIN-named JSON inside it. A real package is tens of MB; if yours is a few KB the portal delivered an incomplete export — simply request it again.

Read the dashboard

Battery health with measured capacity, trips, charging sessions, thermal system, backend activity and a completeness audit. Download the result as a single offline HTML file to keep or share.

What you get

Six tabs of evidence

Every value is labelled observed (directly in the export), derived (calculated from observed samples) or inferred (undocumented channel whose meaning was reverse-engineered and cross-checked). Solid line segments are measured; dashed segments bridge periods where the car wasn't reporting.

Overview tab — vehicle snapshot, battery health verdict and headline figures Battery tab — health card with measured capacity, SoC history, cell voltages and imbalance

Overview

Current vehicle snapshot — SoC, range, doors, service due — and headline figures: distance, consumption, energy charged, idle drain, top speed.

Driving & charging

Distance per day reconciled to the odometer, driving heatmap, speed distribution, a charging ledger with estimated kWh and power curves, and a trip ledger.

Battery

Plain-language health verdict with the evidence behind it: measured usable capacity, cell imbalance over time, by SoC band and by load state, HV current.

Thermal

Ambient temperature, operating modes, seven thermal sensors as small multiples, coolant flow.

Backend & config

Remote actions, vehicle reports, backend errors, and a decoded configuration snapshot.

Package audit

What VW's own Data Dictionary says exists versus what your export actually contains — the concrete field names and numbers to cite if you complain.
